The one minute long feature not only educated the public about the product of self storage but also generated another market for self storage by showing the UK public, that by “clearing their clutter” before putting their house up for sale, the house looked a lot bigger, a whole lot nicer and sold a lot quicker!

The use of public relations activities to raise the profile of the industry and public awareness of Self Storage
The preparation of standard operating guidelines to be available to new members; and the encouragement of all members to achieve appropriate minimum standards
The ability to intervene on behalf of members in matters of government, and local authority legislation and other external affairs
The provision of research into industry statistics and market information to assist in lobbying activities with public authorities to encourage well informed judgements and decisions regarding the industry
